Directions

  1. PREHEAT grill to medium heat. Place half of the ribs in single layer in center of each sheet of foil. Mix brown sugar and seasonings; rub evenly over both sides of ribs.
  2. BRING up foil sides. Double fold top and one end to seal packet. Through open end, add 1/4 cup water. Double fold remaining end, leaving room for heat circulation inside. Repeat to make 2 packets.
  3. PLACE ribs on grill; cover. Grill 45 to 60 minutes or until ribs are cooked through. Remove ribs from foil; discard foil.
  4. RETURN ribs to grill; brush with barbecue sauce. Grill an additional 15 minutes, brushing with sauce and turning every 5 minutes.
  5. Serving Suggestion: Serve these ribs with a baked potato and a crisp mixed green salad.
  6. Substitute: Substitute 3 or 4 ice cubes for the water in each packet of ribs.
  7. Use Your Oven: Preheat oven to 450°F. Assemble foil packets as directed; place on baking sheet. Bake 45 to 60 minutes or until ribs are cooked through. Remove ribs from foil; place ribs on rack of broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat, 10 to 15 minutes, brushing with sauce and turning every 5 minutes.
